Going to Utah

Brian and I are taking the kids to Utah for their spring break. They've never been to our old stomping grounds. We'll be in SLC for a week. If you were a 11-15 year old, what would be on your list of must dos?

My ideas so far:

- Park City
- Main Street
- Alpine Slides, if they are open

- Provo
- The Quarry

- Salt Lake
- Temple Square
- Concert (depending on who will be there)

- Boys stores -- Cabella's and Sportmans Warehouse

Where would you eat? Where are the best desserts?

I'm sure you've already thought of it--but check yourheartout.com. It really is the best resource for the Best of SLC. Or, maybe Ali will leave you a note :)

Katie, you are just about the coolest ever. The kids must adore you. I haven't been (because I am not so cool) but there is a new indoor recreation center in Ogden where you can surf indoors, and rock climb and all sorts of stuff. It looks/sounds like a 11-15-year-old's dream come true. I'll see if I can find the name....

p.s. Thanks Lane. :)

The Dodo is at the Gateway but it's moving to Sugarhouse (21st S. 14th E.) soon. My brother-in-law says that place in Odgen is amazing. I think it's called Salomon Adventure Center. (salomoncenter.com) Also, if you're coming in March, plan to snowboard. The weather will be spectacular. We're planning to take our kids then.

I also really want to see friends. So if you are going to be in town - maybe we can all grab dinner one of the nights!

Depending on the snow situation, on the way back from the cabin I saw what looked like an amazing sledding park right around Kimball Junction. If my tail bone hadn't been so bruised from cabin sledding I would have made Corey stop for a run or two. Cafe Rio is always a hit, you can't beat the lime ricky at Hires, the Art City Trolley in Springfield is fun, and I liked the Training Table when I was a teen and the Pie Pizzeria. Maybe not as good for adult taste buds though:). Have fun!
